The Burn Unit at Al Nas Hospital is a specialized center dedicated to the comprehensive management of patients with burn injuries, from acute emergency care to long-term rehabilitation. Scope of the Unit

The unit provides full-spectrum burn care, integrating medical, surgical, rehabilitative, and psychological support. Services extend from critical care management in the early stages to reconstructive surgery and long-term rehabilitation, ensuring patients receive interdisciplinary continuous care.

  • Acute Burn Care & Emergency Response: Initial stabilization, airway management, and fluid resuscitation for all burn types and patient age groups.

  • Burn Intensive Care Management: Continuous monitoring, ventilatory support, and resuscitation for critically ill burn patients.

  • Anesthesia & Sedation: Pain relief, sedation, and perioperative management tailored to burn care procedures.

  • Bronchoscopy & Inhalation Injury Care: Specialized interventions for airway assessment and treatment of inhalation injuries.

  • Surgical & Reconstructive Services: Excision, escharotomy, fasciotomy, skin grafts, flap coverage, contracture release, and reconstructive procedures to restore function and appearance.

  • Wound Care & Infection Control: Advanced dressings, biologic and synthetic skin substitutes, negative pressure wound therapy, and strict infection prevention protocols.
